cranberry and pecan gluten free granola

Recipe Ingredients for Gluten Free Granola

1/2 cup maple syrup
1 cup apple juice
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tbsp cinnamon
5 cups Rolled Oats
1 cup Rice Bran
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup pecans

Recipe Directions for Gluten Free Granola

  1. place maple syrup, apple juice, cinnamon and olive oil in sauce pan and bring to the boil.

  2. mix all dry ingredients excluding cranberries in large bowl

  3. combine liquids and dry ingredients and mix thoroughly

  4. spread mix over lined baking trays in an oven pre heated to 180 to 200 degrees celcius on top and bottom shelves.

  5. stir regularly and swap trays after 10 minutes

  6. continue to bake and stir until mixture is a uniform golden brown

  7. remove from fridge and let cool

  8. mix in cranberries

  9. Granola can be stored in an air tight container for aprox one week. Alternately it may be stored in the refrigerator for two weeks or frozen and taken out in weekly portions.
