Can play with grain substitutes in this one. I used quinoa flakes, and the 1/4 cup arrowroot is actually tapioca flour. Turned out a bit dry but tasty. The quinoa listed here is actually the flakes.

Recipe Ingredients for Gluten Free Biscuits

1/2 cup arrowroot flour
1/4 cup quinoa
1/4 cup arrowroot flour
6 tablespoons butter
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Gluten Free Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix dry ingredients and cut in butter with a pastry blender.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and work by hand into a smooth dough.

  4. Use a melon baller to form 16 biscuits.

  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
