good way to warm up the night. I like mine with a bit of brummel and brown and some cayane and pepper and apple cider vinegar on top.. It's how i grew up, my comfort food. :D

Recipe Ingredients for (ginger's) lima beans and dumplings

2 c dry baby lima beans
6 c water
2 tsp garlic
1 pinch salt
1 c bisquick mix
1/2 c 2% milk

Recipe Directions for (ginger's) lima beans and dumplings

put your lima beans in a pot and add the water, Bring to a hard boil for 3min. Take off the heat and let sit for an hour, then drain them and add another 6c of fresh water, season with your salt and garlic. Bring to a boil, then turn it down to a simmer and simmer for about half hour until beans are soft. Then mix together the bisquick mix and the milk till lumpy and spoon out by teaspoon drops on top of the gentle boiling limas. let boil for 10min with the dumplings uncovered and then cover and go for another ten. Let cool some and then serve.
