Recipe Ingredients for Gingered Chicken and Pears

24 oz chicken breasts
2 pears
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 t sugar
1/2 c water

Recipe Directions for Gingered Chicken and Pears

  1. Slightly salt and pepper chicken.

  2. Brown chicken in large pan sprayed with vegetable spray. Drain grease.

  3. Slice pears into thin slices

  4. Mix sugar and water well and combine with soy sauce, ginger and garlic.

  5. Pour over chicken, cover and cook over medium heat 45 minutes, turning and basting occasionally.

  6. Add pears and cook 10-15 minutes longer, or until chicken is tender.

  7. Serves 4.
