Recipe Ingredients for gingerbread scones!!!

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/5 cup cold butter
1/3 cup Molasses
1/2 cup skim milk
1 egg, seperated

Recipe Directions for gingerbread scones!!!

  1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut in

  2. butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a

  3. small bowl, combine the molasses, milk and egg

  4. yolk until smooth. Stir into the flour mixture until

  5. moistened. Turn out onto floured surface; knead

  6. gently 6?8 times. Pat into an 8˝ circle; cut into 12 wedges and place 1˝ apart on a greased or

  7. parchment-lined baking sheet. Beat egg white until

  8. frothy; brush over scones. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400F for 12?15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
