Unhealthy but delicious-- a rare treat. Best iced.

Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread

16 tbsp All-Vegetable Shortening
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 large Egg, Whole
1 cup Molasses, Blackstrap
2 tbsp Vinegar distilled
5 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
5 tsp Ginger, Ground
2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
2 tsp Cloves, Ground

Recipe Directions for Gingerbread

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.

  2. Add wet ingredients and mix.

  3. Gradually add dry ingredients.

  4. Chill overnight.

  5. Roll out and cut out cookies, then bake at 375 F for 7-9 minutes.
