Gingerbread Recipe

Makes 8 servings



Very good gingerbread for cookies and such.

Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread

1 1/3 cup spelt flour
2 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup water

Recipe Directions for Gingerbread

  1. Place dry ingredients in a bowl and stir.

  2. Add wet ingredients and stir until consolidated.

  3. Roll out thin on cookie sheet.

  4. Cut in squares or use cookie cutter to cut out gingerbread men.

  5. Prick with fork

  6. Bake 350 F for 12 minutes in convection oven

  7. Place on wire rack in just turned off oven for 20 minutes to crisp up.

  8. Store in air tight container.
