630g 12 big and 12 little from 1/4

Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread

11 oz self raising flour
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp cinnamon
3 oz butter
4 oz caster sugar
1 egg
3 oz golden syrup
225 g powdered sugar
156 g butter

Recipe Directions for Gingerbread

  1. Sift the dry ingredients

  2. rub in the butter

  3. mix the wet ingredients in a jug

  4. stir the wet ingredients into the dry mix with a knife to make a dough

  5. chill for 30minutes

  6. bake at 170C/gas mark 3 for 10-15 minutes
