Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread Muffins

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
3 tsp ground ginger
3 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup skim milk
1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/2 cup molasses
6 tbsp sugar free syrup, maple
2 tbsp canola oil
2 egg whites, lightly beaten

Recipe Directions for Gingerbread Muffins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 18 muffin tins with paper liners or spray with Pam. In a large bowl, sift together dry ingredients. In a small bowl combine liquids and then pour over dry ingredients. Mix until moistened but be sure you do not over mix. Spoon into muffin tins. Bake for 20 minutes or unti a toothpick insereted in the middle of a muffin comes out clean. remove muffins from tin and cool on a wire rack.
