Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread Cookies

1 cup Butter
1.5 cup Sugars, Granulated
100 grams Lyle's Black Treacle
3.25 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
2 tsp Baking Soda
0.5 tsp, ground Cardamom
0.5 tsp Cloves, Ground
2 tsp Ginger, Ground
1 large Egg, Whole

Recipe Directions for Gingerbread Cookies

  1. Cream butter, sugar and treacle, add egg and milk continue to mix. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves.

  2. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before dividing into 3 to roll out. Roll out to 1/8th inch and cut out shapes. Bake in 350 degree oven for 6-8 minutes or until golden and crisp.
