A quick and simple tofu dish that goes well with rice and vegetables.

Recipe Ingredients for Ginger peanut tofu

227 grams (Sacramento Tofu Company) Tofu, Extra Firm
40 grams Creamy Natural Peanut Butter
15 grams Ginger Root
3 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
5 grams Molasses

Recipe Directions for Ginger peanut tofu

  1. Cube tofu. Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat. Fry tofu lightly, turning frequently.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Season with cayenne pepper to taste. Add about 1/4 cup (60 mL) water and mix.

  3. When tofu is slightly browned on all sides, add the sauce, stir to coat tofu, and reduce. This will probably take under a minute.

  4. Serve with rice or noodles and steamed or sauteed vegetables.
