Recipe Ingredients for Ginger Meatloaf

1 lb ground beef
3/5 lbs ground beef
3/4 cups bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2 cups milk
1/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire
2 cups onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Ginger Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spread brown sugar in the bottom of a 9x5 loaf pan.

  3. Mix together ketchup and Worcestershire, and spread the mixture over the brown sugar.

  4. Combine remaining ingredients (add 0.25 tsp black pepper or red pepper if desired).

  5. Press beef mixture evenly into pan.

  6. Bake in the oven for 1 hour or until juices run clear.
