1 cup lentils, 2 large potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 onion, 1 leek, 1/4 of swede, 4 chicken oxo cubes, 2 pints of water

throw all of the ingredients in a pot. Bring to the boil then reduce and let it simmer for around 45mins. Stir it a few times throughout cooking.
