This was a CC recipe given me by another MOM... a kid friendly Meatball Recipe - No Bake

Recipe Ingredients for GIJanes Meatball Recipe

2 oz minced beef
2 oz minced pork
1 tsp parmigiano (parmesan cheese)
1 oz onion, peeled and very finely
1 tblsp breadcrumbs
1 pinch oregano
1 salt and pepper
1 oz onion, peeled and finely chopped
1/2 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp olive oil
200 g chopped tomatoes
1 pinch sugar
1 pinch dried oregano
1 salt and pepper
3 oz green beans
1 oz spaghetti (uncooked weight)

Recipe Directions for GIJanes Meatball Recipe

  1. Combine the minced beef, minced pork, onion, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, herbs and seasoning and form into small balls the size of a walnut.

  2. In a saute pan, heat the olive oil and cook the rest of the onion and garlic until softened and golden.

  3. Add the tomatoes, sugar, oregano and seasoning and cook gently for 15 minutes.

  4. Carefully place the meatballs on top of the sauce, replace the lid and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes

  5. DO NOT STIR the meatballs until they have been cooking for 10 minutes or they will disintegrate.

  6. While the meatballs are cooking, boil the spaghetti for the time indicated on the packet.

  7. 3 minutes from the end of the cooking time add the trimmed green beans to the spaghetti.

  8. Drain the spaghetti and beans and serve the meatballs on top.
