Delicious. I reduced the olive oil by half to 1/4 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Giada's Quick Marinara Sauce (0.5 Cal/gm)

56 oz whole tomatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
2 small onions
4 cloves of garlic
2 tsps dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 salt and pepper to taste
1 crushed red peppers to taste

Recipe Directions for Giada's Quick Marinara Sauce (0.5 Cal/gm)

  1. Heat oil and saute onion and garlic til soft. Add dried herbs, S&P, and crushed red pepper. Puree tomatoes with their juices in blender and add to pot. Simmer about 20 to 30 minutes until done.

  2. 2 28 oz cans whole tomatoes in juice

  3. 1/4 cup olive oil

  4. 2 small onions

  5. 4 cloves of garlic

  6. 2 tsps dried basil

  7. 1 tsp dried oregano

  8. salt and pepper to taste

  9. crushed red peppers to taste
