Homemade rue based macaroni and cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Ghetto Mac

1 stick Margarine, Regular, Hard
2 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
1/4 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
4 cup Pasta Penne Rigate
8 oz Extra Sharp Cheddar
8 oz Extra Sharp White Cheddar
6 serving Crackers Low Sodium

Recipe Directions for Ghetto Mac

  1. Melt 1/2 stick of margarine in sauce pan.

  2. Mix flour into melted margarine.

  3. Gradually add milk.

  4. Add cubed cheese to mixture.

  5. Once cheese is melted, add cooked pasta.

  6. Spread mixture into 13 X 9 cake pan.

  7. Add crushed Ritz crackers to 1/2 stick of melted butter and top mixture.

  8. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
