Recipe Ingredients for German Gold Poundcake

2 cups white sugar
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup milk
6 egg yolks
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for German Gold Poundcake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Grease 10-inch Bundt pan or 2-9x5 pans

  3. In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat sugar & butter until light and fluffy

  4. Add flour and rest of ingredients; at low speed, beat until well mixed, constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula

  5. Beat at high speed 4 minutes

  6. Pour batter into Bundt pan & bake 1 hour or, if using loaf pans 45-50 minutes
