Great for breakfast. The cinnamon and sugar and butter make its own delicious syrup.

Recipe Ingredients for German Apple Pancakes

2 apples (peeled, cored, thinly sliced)
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup light cream
3 eggs
1 egg yolk

Recipe Directions for German Apple Pancakes

  1. Melt butter in large oven proof skillet over med heat. Add apples and cook for 2 min on each side. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. Combine cinnamon with 1/3 cup of sugar and sprinkle on top of apples.

  3. Preheat oven to 400.

  4. Combine remaining sugar with flour and salt. Add cream and mix. Beat eggs together and add to flour mixture.

  5. Pour over apples and place in oven for 15-18 min or until batter is set and knife comes out clean.
