Sauce recipe for General Tso's sauce great with Chinese chicken, stir fried vegetables, or just plain rice.

Recipe Ingredients for General Tso Sauce

2 cups Green onions
1 medium Onion Yellow
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 cup warm water
2 tablespoon Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Ginger, minced
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 cup Baking Blend
1/4 cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup White or rice vinegar

Recipe Directions for General Tso Sauce

  1. Chop green onion, set aside

  2. Cook yellow onion saute style (without oil or butter) in a large pot on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/2 cup warm water, reduce heat to simmer.

  3. Place cornstarch in a large jar with 1/2 cup warm water, shake well until cornstarch dissolves. Add in remaining ingredients and shake to stir.

  4. Bring onions to a soft boil then add cornstarch mixture. Simmer until thickened, stirring as necessary, then remove from the heat.
