Red clam sauce low calorie per serving

Recipe Ingredients for Gary's red clam sauce w/pasta

1/4 c olive oil
3 cloves garlic, diced
8 oz clams
3 oz black olives, each olive sliced into three
28 oz canned diced tomatoes
2 T basil, dried
1 fresh ground pepper
2 1/2 oz pasta
1 t parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Gary's red clam sauce w/pasta

  1. Bring olive oil to temperature in a medium size sauce pan over medium heat.

  2. Drop in diced garlic and let cook until translucent. Do not brown.

  3. Drop in clams and juice let cook for 3-5 minutes.

  4. Drop in olives, tomatos, basil, pepper to taste.

  5. bring back up to a low boil, then simmer for 15 miutes.

  6. Serve over cooked pasta or use as a dipping sauce with toasted multu grain baguette.
