Recipe Ingredients for Garlicky Brown rice

2 tbs. olive oil
2 cups brown rice, short-grain uncooked
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups water
28.48 ounce fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced

Recipe Directions for Garlicky Brown rice

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add rice, and saute 1 minute. Add garlic; saute 2 minutes. Stir in water, broth, and salt; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and cook over medium-low heat 55 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Spoon into a bowl; fluff with a fork. Top with breen onions.

  2. Serving size= 1 cup
