Garlic Steaks with Nectarine Relish

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Steaks with Nectarine Relish

1 1/2 lb boneless beef top sirloin steaks
6 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 nectarine

Recipe Directions for Garlic Steaks with Nectarine Relish

  1. PREP DAY

  2. TRIM the fat from steaks. Cut small slits into steaks. Salt and Pepper both sides of each steak. Separate into 4 plastic bags. Label and freeze.

  3. PEEL and dice the nectarine into small bite-size pieces.

  4. COOK onions and garlic in hot oil over medium heat about 10 minutes or until onions are a deep golden color, stirring occasionally.

  5. COMBINE the onions, garlic, vinegar, honey, and nectarine in a bowl. Separate the nectarine mixture into 4 separate plastic bags. Label and freeze.

  6. WASH and scrub potatoes. Wrap in wax paper. Store at room temperature.

  7. *make sure to defrost what you need the night before you need it!

  8. DINNER TIME

  9. BAKE potato at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Dress with butter and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste.

  10. COOK defrosted steak in a skillet over medium high for 12 to 15 minutes (medium).

  11. REMOVE steak from skillet and allow to rest on a plate. Meanwhile, add nectarine relish to the skillet and heat through.

  12. SERVE the relish with the steaks. Add a baked potato and side salad.
