Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Mashed Potatoes

4 cloves of garlic
8 white potatoes
1 tsp salt
2 tbl butter
1/3 cup half and half
1 Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Fill a large pot 3/4 of the way with water and add 1 tsp salt. On high bring water to a boil. Cut up potatoes into chunks leaving the skins on the potatoes. Remove skin from garlic and slice off the tough end of the garlic. Leave the clove whole. Add garlic and potatoes to water and cook until potatoes are soft. Keeping the potatoes in the pot drain off the water. Add butter and mash with potato masher. Add half and half. Continue to mash the potatoes or use a hand mixer on high. Salt and pepper to taste.
