with skim milk and russet potatoes

Recipe Ingredients for garlic mashed potatoes

10 clove garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
2 lbs russet potatoes
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup skim milk
1 salt
1 pepper

Recipe Directions for garlic mashed potatoes

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. Drizzle garlic with olive oil, wrap in aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 30 min.

  3. Bring large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 min. Drain cool and chop. Stir in butter, milk, salt and pepper.

  4. Remove the garlic from the oven and cut in half. Squeeze the softened cloves into the potatoes. Blend potatoes with an electric mixer until desired consistency is achieved.
