A low-cal, low fat white sauce with herbs for flavor. WARNING: this is an experiment - it is not tested. I will update after testing with any changes to the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic and Herb White Sauce

1 cup skim milk
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 clove garlic
1 tsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Garlic and Herb White Sauce

  1. In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat

  2. Slice or crush garlic clove and add to heated oil; cook until brown and soft

  3. Slowly add milk and flower - mix as you add so there are no lumps

  4. Add pepper, basil, and oregano, and stir until the sauce thickens

  5. Serve over pasta, chicken, or whatever you feel like
