Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Green Beans

1 pound fresh green beans
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, cut lengthwise in half
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 cup sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Garlic Green Beans

  1. Cook the beans in a large saucepan of lightly salted boiling water until crisp-tender, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain in a colander and run under cold water until cold. Drain and shake off excess water.

  2. Grease a large skillet with olive oil-flavored nonstick cooking spray and palce over medium heat. Add the oil and garlic and saute until fragant, about 5 minutes. Add the green beans, salt, and almonds and heat through, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Discard the garlic before serving.
