Filipino-style Garlic Fried Rice, with Basmati Rice

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Fried Rice 1

3 cloves garlic
2 cups basmati rice
1 tsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
1 dash salt

Recipe Directions for Garlic Fried Rice 1

  1. *Use Day old Basmati rice, keep it in the refrigerator to dry it

  2. Place a skillet over medium heat and add oil

  3. Finely chop garlic cloves, add to skillet and fry for about 5 minutes or until half of the garlic has turned golden brown. Be sure to spread evenly to avoid burning some of the smaller pieces

  4. Add Basmati Rice, and butter. Spread evenly over skillet and mix evenly with rice - try to toss for air and even mixing. Cook until butter and oil coats the rice evenly.

  5. Salt to taste (or use garlic salt for more garlic taste)

  6. Serve Hot and steaming
