Just another hommus recipe. :) In making my first batch, I used 5.5 tbsp of olive oil, but much less can be used according to your personal preference. More or less of the seasonings can also be used (I tend to go heavy on the garlic.) A serving should be approximately two-and-a-half tablespoons.

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic & Curry Hommus

2 cups dry garbanzo beans
5 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
4 cloves of garlic, mashed
1/8 tsp curry powder
1 dash of red pepper (to taste)
1 dash of black pepper (to taste)
1 dash of salt (to taste)

Recipe Directions for Garlic & Curry Hommus

  1. Cook beans until very soft. Drain.

  2. Combine beans and all other ingredients in a food processor or blender. Puree until thickened. Add seasonings to suit your taste.
