Home made garlic croutons tossed into pasta with peppers, onions and crushed red pepper. Oh... and lots of cheese of course

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Crouton Pasta

1/2 lb pasta
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 vidalia onion
3 slices italian bread
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
4 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Garlic Crouton Pasta

  1. Break 4 slices of day old bread into crouton sized pieces and allow to dry out for an hour.

  2. Roast the peppers and onions in 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and oregano.

  3. Roast garlic slivers in 2 tbsp olive oil. After a few minutes, mix in the bread pieces. Mix in the peppers and onions. Brown bread slightly.

  4. Cook pasta. Mix pasta with bread/pepper combination and mix in cheese.
