A simple, tasty garlic bread using what I had on hand at the time . . .

Recipe Ingredients for Garlic Bread

4 hamburger buns, whole wheat
4 tbsp margarine
4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed

Recipe Directions for Garlic Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Mix margarine and garlic until well blended and spread on buns

  3. Line a shallow baking dish with foil and set buns in it

  4. Bake 5-10 minutes, until butter is melted and top of bread is getting crispy

  5. For a crispier crust, bake as directed, then turn oven up to broil

  6. Broil 1-2 minutes, until bread is desired color and crispness. Watch carefully to prevent charring.
