This recipe is roughly modified and doubled from the back of a Bush's Beans can. Original recipe is "Italian Style Garbanzo Beans and Sausage." We use Dreesman's Buffalo sausage, which is precooked.

Recipe Ingredients for Garbanzo Beans and Sausage

1 large onion, minced
16 ounces Wildogs Buffalo Sausage
32 ounces garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
29 ounces (2 cans) diced tomatoes
1 T parsley
2 t Italian seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 c water

Recipe Directions for Garbanzo Beans and Sausage

  1. Brown sausage in frying pan if necessary. (Dreesman's sausage is precooked.

  2. Put all ingredients in a large pot (Dutch Oven) and bring to a boil. Simmer for 12-15 minutes. Serve with a tasty salad.
