Shrimp and Garlic --Catalonian Style!

Recipe Ingredients for Gambas al ajillo

1/2 c olive oil
1 1/2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 garlic cloves, minced (more if you are a garlic lover)
1/4 c fresh lemon juice
1 t paprika
1/2 t red pepper flakes (or to taste)
4 T flat leaf parsley, chopped
1 salt
1 fresh ground pepper

Recipe Directions for Gambas al ajillo

  1. Warm the Olive Oil and the Butter in a saute pan; add the garlic and saute for a minute or two.

  2. Add the Shrimp and saute another 2-3 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients (except the parsley) and adjust the seasonings as you like.

  3. Sprinkle with parsley and serve at once.

  4. Serving with rice or pasta is an option. Serving with warm crusty bread is a must as you will want to sop up every drop of sauce!
