A great office lunch - makes a big batch that will last you and your spouse all week, for pennies a serving! Super healthy! Makes 8000 grams after cooking. I (5'8", 170 lb) usually consume 400g per serving, my wife (5'4", 110 lb) usually consumes 350g per serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Gabe's Rice & Beans & Orzo

1/5 pound pinto beans
1/5 pound black Beans
1/5 pound Garbanzo beans
1/5 pound kidney Beans
1/5 pound navy Beans
3 cups brown rice
1 cup orzo

Recipe Directions for Gabe's Rice & Beans & Orzo

Buy (5) 1 pound bags of different kinds of dry beans and mix them all up. Soak overnight, then boil for an hour (or use canned). Cook rice and orzo separately, then add all ingredients together. Add some spices for extra flavor without, the options are endless! I like salt-free marinades with a little hot sauce. Throw in some frozen peas & carrots, or spinach or broccoli, and you have a complete healthy meal.
