Recipe Ingredients for Fruity, spicy steel cut oats

3 cups Water
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 cup Steel Cut Oats
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup dried cranberries
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/8 cup ground flax seed

Recipe Directions for Fruity, spicy steel cut oats

  1. Bring water, salt, and oats to a rolling boil, lower to simmer, and cook partially covered for 10-15 mins, stirring occasionally.

  2. When the timer goes off, add spices and berries. Mix these ingredients into the oats. Replace the lid, again, slightly askew, and set the time for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. When cooked to taste, stir in ground flax seeds.
