These are not super low in calories but they are good for you, they can satisfy that sweet tooth and they are quick and easy.

Recipe Ingredients for Fruity Oatmeal Muffins

1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup yogurt
1 cup skim milk
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
1 egg
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sunflower oil
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup apple, finely dices
1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Fruity Oatmeal Muffins

  1. Combine oats, milk & yogurt in large bowl and set aside.Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and spices in a separate bowl, blend well. Beat the egg, sugar and oil together in a separate bowl and then gently mix it into the oat mixture. Add the dry ingredients, fruit and nuts stiring just until blended. Spoon into greased or lined muffin cups. Bake at 400 F / 200C for 18 - 25 minutes.

  2. Note: You can substitute the apple raisins and nuts for your favorite fruit and or nuts.
