An amazing breakfast I created for my Nutrition class in Culinary school

Recipe Ingredients for Fruit and Walnut Oatmeal

16 oz 100% Whole Grain Oatmeal (serving)
1 cup apple, chopped
1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup grapes, halved
1/4 cup raisins
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups low fat milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup granola
1/4 cup walnuts, toasted

Recipe Directions for Fruit and Walnut Oatmeal

  1. Combine milk and oatmeal in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and let cook on medium-low until all liquid has been soaked up. Oatmeal should double in volume. Add cinnamon and sugar. Stir and taste for preference, but do not deviate too much from the sugar amount.

  2. Divide into four portions and garnish with fruit, granola and walnuts.
