Sneak some veggies into breakfast! Flaxseed meal adds healthy Omega-3's and helps fend off hunger. Try switching out the fruits and juice for different flavor. If looking for fewer calories, substitute water for fruit juice. This recipe makes about 5 cups which I split up into 2 meals. *Note* This smoothie is meant to replace a meal, so the high amount of calories is expected.

Recipe Ingredients for Fruit and Veggie Breakfast Smoothies

2 cup Spinach
2 medium Carrots
1 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
1 fruit without refuse Mangos
0.5 cup Blueberries
0.5 cup Blackberries
8 oz All Natural 100% Cherry Juice
1 cup Yogurt
4 tbsp Flaxseed Meal

Recipe Directions for Fruit and Veggie Breakfast Smoothies

  1. Blend spinach and juice (or water) with flaxseed meal until smooth

  2. Add the rest of the fruits and vegetables one at a time and blend until smooth

  3. Add yogurt and blend

  4. Enjoy!

  5. Can be made ahead of time for a quick to-go meal
