Fruit Crumble Recipe

from Mennonite Cookbook. Crumble can go on any fruit. Not really pretty, but it tastes pretty good.

Recipe Ingredients for Fruit Crumble

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tbsp margarine, melted
1 egg white
1 dash water, to make it wet
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 dash ginger
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups peaches or other fruit

Recipe Directions for Fruit Crumble

  1. Mix dry

  2. add egg and a tsp or so of water

  3. mix it together well with hands or pasty cutter to make light crumb consistency

  4. grease 9x9 or pie pan and place around 2 cups of fruit in bottom

  5. cover in crumbs

  6. drizzle a bit of melted margarine over the top

  7. bake around 25 minutes at 375
