Substitute any fresh fruit like peachers, apricots, berries

Recipe Ingredients for Fruit cobbler

3 cups blackberries
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water
2 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons Sugar

Recipe Directions for Fruit cobbler

  1. Heat oven to 400.

  2. Heat fruit and liquid.

  3. Mix cornstarch with the 2 Tablespoons of water.

  4. Blend in cornstarch mixture.

  5. Boil one minute.

  6. Pour into 2 quart baking dish.

  7. Dot with butter (optional).

  8. Make shortcake dough by combining bisquick, sugar and milk to form a soft dough.

  9. Beat vigorously 20 strokes.

  10. Drop by teaspoonfuls over fruit.

  11. Bake about 20-25 minutes. Serve hot with ice cream(optional).
