Fried Zucchini Recipe

Yummy! I estimated on the oil. You will probably need more oil than 1/4 cup, but of course there will be lots of oil left in the pan and paper towels... so this is a pretty rough estimate on the calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Fried Zucchini

1 medium Squash, Summer, Zucchini, Includes Skin
1/2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 cup Cultured Fat Free Buttermilk
1/4 cup canola oil

Recipe Directions for Fried Zucchini

  1. Slice zucchini about 1/4 inch wide.

  2. Dip zucchini slices in fat free buttermilk.

  3. Dredge zucchini in flour (season flour as you wish... garlic, salt, pepper is my go-to combo)

  4. Put covered zucchini in HOT oil in fry pay.

  5. Cook a couple minutes on each side, till golden brown and tender.

  6. Place fried zucchini on paper towels to drain excess oil.
