Recipe Ingredients for Fried Rice

5 serving (Meijer) Long Grain Instant Brown Rice
1 serving (Bertolli) ICBINB, Olive Oil, Light
1 onion, chopped
3 jalapeno peppers, diced
3 serving (Meijer) Green Peas, Frozen
4 serving (Meijer) Organics, Extra Large Brown Eggs, Cage Free
1 tsp cajun seasoning
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Fried Rice

  1. Chop onions and sautee in 1 tbsp I can't believe it's not butter, light with Olive Oil. Wash, deseed and derib jalapenos then add to onions and butter. Cook on low heat. Add salt and pepper.

  2. Cook Rice. (I just slightly undercook since I cook a little longer once everything is mixed.) Add cumin, cajon seasoning, garlic and chili powder to rice. Mix well.

  3. Cook peas.

  4. Add everything together and cook on low heat with lid for 20 - 30 minutes.

  5. Scramble 4 eggs in large frying pan. Roll egg and slice into strips then add to fried rice before completion.
