Fried rice with bacon, ham, egg, onions & peppers.

Recipe Ingredients for Fried Rice

1 c basmati rice
1 1/2 c water
5 Bacon
1 c ham, diced
1/2 onion
1 bell pepper
2 eggs
4 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp tabasco sauce

Recipe Directions for Fried Rice

  1. In a large saucepan, bring rice and water to a boil. Cover and drop temperature to a simmer; simmer for 20 minutes or until rice has absorbed all liquid.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large non-stick skillet, fry 5 slices bacon over medium-low heat until crispy; crumble. Drain grease, reserving 1 tbsp. Saute diced onion and diced bell pepper in bacon grease until translucent. Remove from skillet to drain. Break up 2 eggs until well combined. Pour into skillet and cook like a pancake, turning once halfway through cooking. Remove from skillet and cut into small pieces.

  3. Return vegetables, bacon, egg, and ham to skillet. Add rice. Add soy sauce, pepper, and tabasco sauce to taste. Cook over low heat until thoroughly warmed.
