Homemade spicy fried rice. Can use black pepper if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Fried Rice, Homemade

2 cups brown rice
1/2 cup low fat chicken broth
1 cup frozen vegetables
1 tsp canola oil
1 tsp tabasco sauce

Recipe Directions for Fried Rice, Homemade

  1. Heat oil over high-med heat.

  2. Add frozen vegetables. Let cook for about 2 minutes

  3. Add rice, then hot sauce.

  4. Let cook for about 10 minutes, stirring at first then letting the rice "stick" to the point that it almost burns. This adds a little crunch to the rice.
