Basic recipe for fried rice. If you add other ingredients (vegetables, meat), increase the number of eggs to 3.

Recipe Ingredients for Fried rice - basic recipe

2 tbsp chopped Onions
2 large Egg, Whole
4 tbsp Olive Oil
4 cup Rice, Brown, Long-grain, Cooked
1 tbsp Soy Sauce

Recipe Directions for Fried rice - basic recipe

  1. Finely chop the onions. Lightly beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Heat a wok or frying pan and add 2 tablespoons oil. When the oil is hot, add the eggs. Cook, stirring, until they are lightly scrambled but not too dry. Remove the eggs and clean out the pan.

  2. Add 2 tablespoons oil. Add the rice. Stir-fry for a few minutes, using chopsticks or a wooden spoon to break it apart. Stir in the soy sauce.

  3. When the rice is heated through, add the scrambled egg back into the pan. Mix thoroughly. Stir in the onion.
