Recipe Ingredients for Fried Potatoes

4 large potatoes, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Fried Potatoes

  1. Prepare fire or charcoal briquets.

  2. Meanwhile, chop bacon and slice potatoes. Rinse potatoes until water is clear. Chop onion into large pieces.

  3. Place seasoned dutch oven over coals and add bacon. Cook bacon until almost done. Layer potatoes and onions on top of bacon. Cover, and add coals to top of lid. Stir every 15 minutes until potatoes are soft, about 45 minutes.
