Recipe Ingredients for fried potatoes

5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe Directions for fried potatoes

  1. heat oil in large skillet

  2. add potatoes, salt and pepper

  3. mix potatoes so all are caoated with the oil salt and pepper

  4. cover and simmmer for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender

  5. remove cover and finish cooking potatoes about 5 to 10 minutes more, browning some of the slices
