Recipe Ingredients for Fried Eggs Perfecto

2 large eggs
1 tbsp butter, unsalted
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper

Recipe Directions for Fried Eggs Perfecto

  1. heat an 8-9 inch skillet over the lowest heat on your stove for about 5 minutes

  2. break open each egg onto separate saucers

  3. add butter to skillet and let it slowly melt and gently foam (don't let it sizzle)

  4. when the foam subsides, swirl to coat skillet

  5. slide each egg off their saucers into the hot butter

  6. quickly season with salt and pepper

  7. cover the skillet; the whites will gradually solidify to snow white cream.

  8. 2-1/2 min for runny yolks

  9. 3-1/2 min for soft but set yolks

  10. 4-1/2 min for firmly set yolks

  11. Do Not flip the eggs but leave them sunny side up

  12. Serve with crisp bacon and simple buttered toast
