Recipe Ingredients for Fried Chicken- remix

16 oz chicken breasts
1/2 cup egg beaters
38.67 g grape nuts cereal
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
6 1/2 g flaxseed meal
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper

Recipe Directions for Fried Chicken- remix

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray until evenly covered.

  2. Put egg whites in a medium size bowl. Mix together dry ingredients and spread out on a plate.

  3. One by one, dip each chicken tender into the egg whites and then press both sides into the Grape-NutsŪ mixture.

  4. Place strips in a single layer onto cookie sheet, leaving a little room between pieces.

  5. Bake for 7 minutes, turn over, and bake for 3-7 minutes more or until done.

  6. Variations: For the picky eaters in your family, put the dry ingredients in a blender or food processor for a few seconds to smooth out the coating for the chicken.
