Recipe Ingredients for Fried chicken with linguine and broccoli

16 ounce chicken breasts, fried
2 cups oil
16 ounce linguine, boiled
2 tablespoons butter
3 cups sour cream
1/4 cup whole milk
2 cups broccoli, boiled
2 tablespoons butter
2 slices white bread
2 tablespoons butter

Recipe Directions for Fried chicken with linguine and broccoli

  1. Rolled chicken breasts in flour and fry in oil for about 10 minutes until golden brown, turn over and fry other side, spear thickest part of meat with a fork to make sure meat is cooked through.

  2. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. Once meat has been turned over, in a 4-quart sauce pan, boil 6 cups of water for linguine. When at a rolling boil, add linguine and 2 tablespoons butter (to keep linguine from sticking together). Boil until tender, about 7 - 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  4. Drain in a colander.

  5. Once linguine is in pot, in a 2-quart sauce pan, boil 3 cups of water, add broccoli and 1 tablespoon of butter. Cover and boil for 8 minutes until tender.

  6. Drain, mix with linguine and sour cream, milk sauce.

  7. For sauce, mix sour cream with whole milk (to thin)

  8. gently pour and stir with linguine and broccoli, serve on individual plates with fried chicken and white bread
