Recipe Ingredients for Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

4 Chicken Breast, Meat Only - Cooked, Fried
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 1/2 cup 2% milk
1 egg
1 cup smart balance oil
1 cup Soup, Chicken Broth Cubes, Dehydrated, Dry

Recipe Directions for Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

  1. Heat 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Smart Balance Oil in a Large Skillet over medium high heat

  2. Place Flour in a large sealble ziplock bag and add sea salt and any other seasoning you would like for flavor. I like to add italian seasoning and garlic.

  3. Whip 1 cup milk and egg in a bowl

  4. Dip your chicken in the ziplock bag of flour and coat both sides

  5. Dip your chicken in the egg mixture and coat well on both sides

  6. Place your chicken back in the bag of flour and coat both sides well

  7. Remove the chicken from the bag and place in the skillet

  8. Repeat this process until all chicken is in the Skillet

  9. Brown the chicken on both sides at medium high heat,then reduce your heat to medium low and flip the chicken occasionally for about 25 minutes.

  10. Making the Gravy:

  11. Keep about 3/4 cup of the oil in the pan and mix in 3/4 cup of the leftover flour into the oil.

  12. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes

  13. Pour in one cup of chicken broth and 1 cup of milk and heat to boiling stirring constantly

  14. Once your gravy is bubbling nicely reduce your heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

  15. Serve gravy over chicken and enjoy :)
